So I am still looking at how to do the concert listing using the database. The code ignitor demo showed a single page blog. Which i think is what I want. There is one page that lists all the entries that are gleamed from the database. Looking at the MODX it appears that this may take a custom PHP application. Or can i use @Select to do that? Is there a way to
From what i am seeing, however, this is going take custom PGP application. My question is can using @select work? Can i grab individual fields from the @SELECT result or associate columns with varialbes for use by ditto or others, I am trying to understand what can I can do without custom PHP code. I do want to use the CMS parts.
If i have to write PHP code to do the single page DB based entries then i no biggie. It seems that i can integrate Codeignitor (that seess to make the database stuff easier). Then is there a good ModX plugin to do updating of the database visually from either an web page using login permissions of the admin panel?
(still getting my head around things).

Why not make each concert listing a document, then use Ditto as usual? You can even use DittoCal or Kalender with it this way.
You could even work with the NewsManager/NewsEditor snippet to make a front-end manager for it.
