I needed a gallery and decided to try the gallery add on (http://rtfm.modx.com/display/addon/Gallery).

I am not even getting close to a working version. Are there any better instructions that anyone knows about. I am getting no image previews because the paths are all machine paths, but I haven't changed any of the default settings.

Did you already check webprosmo's tut?

Thanks, but that wasn't really helpful. Clearly my paths are not working, but I have no reference point to adjust them. I cannot seem to find a quality source of information. Even the source you cite sort of basically says "first, set up Galley".

My primary frustration with MODx is the documentation. It can be very obtuse, and I fear that this is a barrier to widespread use. It should not take me 2 weeks to set up a simple, native gallery. [ed. note: mmcglynn last edited this post 14 years, 10 months ago.]
