I have moved site from one server to another, and now friendly urls arent working.
though i can access urls with their page id like
www.mydomain.com/index.php?id=13
but accessing same page with
www.mydomain.com/contact
Doesnt work....and shows 404 error
I have checked that friendlu_url setting is set to "Yes"
also my .htacces is in place
i have faced same problem before also but at that time renaming htaccess file and setting site_url, http_host worked for me but this time i am not getting whats going wrong

Is the rewrite module enabled in apache?
Thanks mark....that was only option that i didnt cheked...and i just did one quick simple test..and that failed so i think its not enabled.
I will do few more tests, thanks for such a great answer/option to check.

Yeah, that's it then. Another thing to check is whether www.domain.com/index.php?q=contact works. If it does, then it's definitely not a MODX setting that's the problem, it's just that the server is not doing the redirect for whatever reason.
@freejung : thats not working right now, but i see 1 error in error log file so i will remove it first and then will try again...
I just cheked and q=contact is workin that means there is no problem in modx...all i have to do it enable mod_rewrite...thanks friends
