    Hello,

    I just logged in to modx administration panel and I saw that all resources are gone, web context is just empty. (all tv's and chunks are there though)
    Only one other person has access to admin panel, but I checked Manager log and last action today was "save_profile" nothing related to deleting resources.

    What could have happened ?
    Is there something I can do to restore resources ?

    I will be really grateful for any information provided. I really hope something can be done.

    Web Server:

    * PHP 5.2.17
    * Linux

    Database:

    * MySQL 5.1.56
    * List of any tables over 1MB in size - none

    MODx:

    * Revolution 2.1.3
    * Any changes you've made - not really, besides adding some plugins, but they were added way before disappearing of resources
    * Any snippets you're running on the page that is not working properly - all were working
    * Any plugins you're running - formit, getresources, tinymce, wayfinder

      The odds are that the resources are still there. You can check the modx_site_content table in PhpMyAdmin to make sure.

      The first thing to try is manually deleting all files in the core/cache directory.

      Have you messed with permissions at all? That would be the most likely cause, especially if your logging in as someone other than the admin Super User.

        I'm by no means a Revo expert, but that "save_profile" action looks ominous to me; it's quite easy to get locked out of various features of the Manager if the permissions are meddled with.

        Besides, if the resources really were gone, the site front-end wouldn't work any more, and you didn't say anything about the front-end not showing.

          Thanks for replies !

          I checked modx_site_content table in PhpMyadmin (it looks like the problem lies in here)
          There are 2 things that I noticed are out of the ordinary:
          1. there is a "in use" status under Type Collation Size Overhead Columns
          2. when opening up said table there is this error - #145 - Table './stnig_lapa/modx_site_content' is marked as crashed and should be repaired

          I hope that this is repairable (fingers crossed)

          I guess I won't benefit from cleaning core/cache directory at this point ?

          I have been assigning permissions, yes, but as with other things everything was working great before this accident. No new changes could have caused this because there were no new changes, except content updates. Other user doesn't have access to permissions.

          I didn't mention this, but unfortunately the front-end isn't working I get a "page not found" error.

            Ah, that information (the front-end isn't working) puts a whole different perspective on the matter. The database table is indeed corrupted, and one can hope that repairing will fix it. Otherwise, if you don't have a recent backup, this will be a rather harsh lesson of the need for regular backups.

              Gladly cPanel has a really neat feature - Repair database, which fixed this for me.

              Thank you for helping !

              Big thanks to BobRay - I will now know one more thing to check when things go south smiley

                Before you go any further, back the database up, a crashed table may be a sign of problems ahead.
