Working in revolution 2.1.3-pl, Tinymce version 4.2.4, because version 4.3.0 doesnt seem to allow more than one instance of itself on a single front end page via latest version of Newspublisher's Npeditbutton function. Everything is working, however the link function, essential for clients, only works in the backend, when logged into the manager and 'viewing' the resource containing the Npeditbutton button. When logging on from Front end, tiny mce's link button brings up a blank pop up window... Any ideas?

I just noticed that a newer version of Tinymce, 4.3.1 is available for download, although the package manager within Revo doesn't seem to see it yet. I tried downloading and installing it, but now I again have the issue of only 1 instance of a rich text editor available per page, and the link button within that instance of Tinymce still brings up a blank popup in the front end.

Has anyone else battled with this issue, or are there other Rich Text Editors available for use with Newspublisher, such as Aloha, and has anyone successfully installed and implemented them?

      Thx!!

        Solved!

Everything about the Tinymce editor seems to work in the front end (using the Login Add-on to sign in) except the link function, until you change your login call from this:

        to this:

        [[!Login?contexts=`web,mgr`]]

I found this answer in the highly interesting thread going on over here:

Be careful with that login. Once logged in, the user can type in any Manager URL and go to any part of the Manager. Make sure the user's Context Access policy for the mgr context is limited appropriately.

Good point, I suppose I'm assuming the frontend user would have no knowledge a backend Manager even existed. Modifying the Login call was only necessary because the 'Link' function in Tinymce brought up a blank window without it, though every other 'button' on the Tinymce interface functioned properly...

If theres an alternative way to get that function working without putting a frontend user into the Modx Manager Context I'd love to know how to make it happen.

            Thx!
