I need a new host

Can anyone recommend a good linux hosting service, I`m with webfusion vps server at the moment but is so slow, someone on the machine keeps using all the resources.

Anyway if anyone can suggest a good vps or even cheap server then you would be saving me a lot of time trawling the net.

Many thanks
Simon

Many of my friends are with hostgator, they are happy with them.
One of them have more than 100 active domains, and have no problems.

Else i would recomend the following:
http://www.speicherhosting.com/

I’m looking for a new [Shared/Linux] host too, but looking for a host with UK-based servers.

Anyone have anyone they could recommend?

pytal.de
the only free one I know.

non-uk but mosso.com is rackspace’s hosting service for designers / developers like us.

http://www.clook.co.uk/ are based in the uk.

best support i have ever had. highly recommended.

I use http://www.eleven2.com but i’m starting to wornder about their customer support.

http://downtownhost.com/

Quality services! quick support, used it myself for a client though I am not with them now, but my experience was superb. But they are US based.

Thanks everyone I will take a look at them now, thats the 2nd time someone has told me about mosso, at $100 dollars converted to uk pounds sounds like a great deal, mind you the website seems a bit vague.

Anyone ever used media temple? they have this new grid server technology, was thinking of trying it for a month just to see how it copes with modx, mind you seem to be getting bad press in blogs and the like.

cheers
Simon

Mosso seems interresting.
Ive sent them a question about speed.
If it´s fast enough, i sertainly wont hesitate to sign up!
