I can find numerous examples of how to build CSS menus with Wayfinder. But all the examples show as many links at the top level as there are menu items at the top level.

I am looking for a nice CSS-driven flyover or drop-down menu that starts with a SINGLE link entitled "Menu".

When the mouse pointer hovers over this link, it will then open up to reveal multiple top-level menu links. And from then on, additional menu levels will open up under the mouse pointer.

The idea is to keep the menu unobtrusive and out of the way until the user needs it.

    Any suggestions/examples would be great.

If you can find a working example that you have the author’s permission to duplicate, creating the menu templates is pretty painless.

That certainly would be half the battle. I don’t believe I have seen such a CSS-driven menu. All the web pages I could find with a search always begin with multiple links.

The second half of the battle may be making sense of the examples I find. There is a lot of HTML and CSS crap out there! Sometimes decoding it can be harder than writing something from scratch.

So make a folder in the top level and move all your other folders into it. Now, &startId=`0` will only show the one item. I think you could even make that top-level container document be a weblink linking to your home page, so if it gets clicked on it will just go to the home page, which of course will still only display the one link to begin with.

The Document Tree structure is purely a virtual structure, its sole purpose is to give a means for listing (ditto) and menu (wayfinder) snippets to organize the documents. So don’t be afraid to fiddle with the arrangement, until it suits your needs.
