    I have been testing simple search on REVO for a while now and its been working great. But for some reason it only works when the MODX manager is open within the same browser.

    for example;

    I have the manager open and the website open in firefox. Type in a search word, and it finds the results.
    I then open up safari/chrome and when I search a term, you get directed back to the homepage.

    Does anyone know the problem here?

        To be honest, I've installed simple search many times and never had a problem like the one you mention.

        Do you have modx installed on a different server where you can test? or perhaps simply a different modx installation (on the same server)?

        What does your error log show?

        Can you share your simple search setup?

          Hi Upiorz,

          Thank you for replying. Very much appreciated. I currently have the website on both my local host and live server. The problem is occurring on both servers :S

          There are no errors from what I can see.

          Here is my code-

          Chunk:

          [[!SimpleSearchForm? &landing=`16` &tpl=`searchHeader` &method=`POST`]]

          searchHeader:

          <form id="searchForm" action="[[~[[+landing:default=`[[*id]]`]]]]" method="[[+method:default=`get`]]">
            <fieldset>
              <label for="[[+searchIndex]]">[[%sisea.search? &namespace=`sisea` &topic=`default`]]</label>
              <div class="input">
              <input type="text" name="[[+searchIndex]]" id="[[+searchIndex]]" value="[[+searchValue]]" />
              </div>
              <input type="hidden" name="id" value="[[+landing:default=[[*id]]]]" />
              <input type="submit" value="[[%sisea.search? &namespace=`sisea` &topic=`default`]]" id="searchSubmit" />
            </fieldset>
          </form>

          Landing Page (ID16)

                  [[!SimpleSearch?
                    &tpl=`searchList`
                    &containerTpl=`searchPagiContainer`
                    &pageTpl=`searchPagiTpl`
                    &currentPageTpl=`searchPagiCurrent`
                    &includeTVs=`1`
                    &processTVs=`1`
                    &ids=`3`
                    &resultInfo=`0`
                    &pagingSeparator=``
          ]]

          searchList:

          <li>
              <a href="[[~[[+id]]]]" title="[[+pagetitle]]">
                  <img src="[[+Product_Image:phpthumbof=`w=168&h=168&zc=1`]]" alt="[[+pagetitle]]" />
                  <div class="content">
                      <h3>[[+pagetitle:ellipsis=`19`]]</h3>
                      <span class="price">£[[*Product_Price]]</span>
                  </div>
              </a>
          </li>

          I hope this is all clear. Thanks once again Upiorz

          Regards

          Richard

              Darn I'm sorry monkemedia, I might not be as much help here since I've only installed SS in it's simplest form, that is:

              [[!SimpleSearchForm? &landing=`2`]]

              in my header (template)

              and:

              [[!SimpleSearch]]

              on my landing page.

              But I can see you have template variables in your call, are your TVs set correctly? your setup looks nice though, with images and all.

                Its official. I am a muppet. Had nothing to do with the simple search. It was all to do with group resources etc. I had the search landing page hidden from my client. Because I havent set it up correctly (web I assume) the page was hidden from the web.

                And i thought I got my head around group resources. Arghhhh Its a bloody nightmare.

                Upiorz, thanks once again for your time, and many many apologies for wasting your time sad
