Have a link to a working example of the menu?

I see no dropdowns in Safari.

Supposedly these menus work in Safari:

They work fine in IE7 (they’re pretty slick, too).
denrou have you checked out Wayfinder? That’s all you need in order to create these menus in MODx. All you need to do is to break down your menu code into pieces that you can use as a Wayfinder template, and then MODx will create the links to the documents you want in there.
I agree with ZAP can’t see why you couldn’t do that with Wayfinder, not pure CSS since you want some js effect but with mootools or jQuery combined with CSS should be doable (I can’t think of something you can’t do with wayfinder... except maybe a Flash menu).

Why not? Can’t Flash read XML files? Have Wayfinder output XML, and your Flash menu generator reads that!
I said maybe because I figured there might be some way, thanks for explaining that to me though I’d much rather use CSS and possibility some js effects than Flash one never knows what clients might ask

Safari looks OK; behaves the same as FF, anyway.
Thanks, well then transmenu is an option you could go with for a dropdown menu. CSS styles and all. I like it.
