High Traffic Site Performance

    Hi, Has anyone tested Modx on a high traffic site, say 50k+ uniques a day and 125k+ pageviews, just numbers I am throwing out. Has anyone really battle tested Modx. Any feedback?

      I’m running 0.9.5 & 0.9.6 RC2 on two sites that take 7000 visits & 30000+ pageviews.
      Not quite the figures you asked about, but getting there.
      I’ve had no real issues other than ones I caused myself!

        We’ve not run into any problems on our site here at http://modxcms.com/ ... with proper caching and structuring of the content, your limitation is very similar to very light PHP files. Of course it depends on what snippets you’re running, how many documents, etc.

          I think that your hosting will be more important than anything else, really. One of our sites topped out at 33GB one month when there was an event (although that was still less than 100,000 page views per day), and we had no issues at all. And that’s on a cheap shared hosting setup, too.
