I'm trying to show both the images and child-galleries on a images landing page using this:

[[!GalleryAlbums ? &parent=`[[+gallery.id]]` &showAll=`0`]]
</ul>
<ul>
[[!getPage ? &element=`Gallery` &totalVar=`[[+gallery.total]]` &limit=`12` &useCss=`1` ]]
</ul>
If I remove the first brace "[" from the GalleryAlbums snippet call, I can see that [[+gallery.id]] shows the correct number; and I've test that the snippet works if I replace [[+gallery.id]] with a number. However, if I use the snippet as outlined above, I get all of the children from parent 0. Can anyone help?
Using: Gallery 1.4.0pl, MODx 2.1.3
