Greetings - I've imported an Evo 1.04 site from a production server into my dev environment (XAMPP) and have encountered some issues that I need help with.

Quick background - I installed modX 1.04 in the root folder and imported the database from the live site without any issues. I can log into the content manager and see the site tree, etc. Everything there looks good. I reset the file manager path, which was still set to the production path, to the default.

Issue #1: when I navigate directly to the local site URL, I get an include_once error for phx, and the error shows a production site path. Here's the specific message with the production path in bold:

    PHP error debug
Error: include_once(/home2/wesleypi/public_html/assets/plugins/phx/phx.parser.class.inc.php) [function.include-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory
    Error type/ Nr.: Warning - 2
    File: /Applications/XAMPP/xamppfiles/htdocs/wesleypicotte/manager/includes/document.parser.class.inc.php(790) : eval()'d code
    Line: 15

Issue #2: When I preview a resource from the content manager site tree, I get an Object not Found error. The URL for the resource is a friendly URL. I turned off friendly URLs and got the same phx error described above, so there's a friendly URL disconnect and I'm not sure what file(s) to investigate.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

One bit of progress to mention - just found (remembered) the File base path and reset that to the default. Not more parse errors, but the Object not Found issue is still present.

Could you have forgotten to copy everything in the assets directory to the local install?

Also, make sure mod_rewrite is enabled in XAMPP. It's off by default.

I did not copy over the assets directory. I'll do that, but would you mind explaining the need, just for my own knowledge?

          Thanks

Oh, one other question, if you don't mind. I've noticed multiple instances of the htaccess and config.inc.php files (in the root directory, assets, manager, etc.). Can you explain which version needs to be changed, or if one version governs the others.

            Thanks

OK, copied everything over. The error I mentioned earlier with phx is reoccurring. The file path shown in the error is correct so I'm not sure what the issue is. Any thoughts?

Shouldn't that path have a drive specifier in it?

Did you run Setup in upgrade mode on the local machine?

The assets folder contains all of the snippet, module, and plugin code among other things, so without it you will run into issues viewing the website.

There shouldn't be a config.inc.php file in the root directory with evo, it should exist in manager/includes/config.inc.php. There can only be one .htaccess file, if there is more than one combine them and/or remove the extras. If you have a ht.access file this can be deleted, it's included with the default zip and contains the recommended code for the .htaccess file (you would just rename the file to activate it).

I would suggest upgrading the site to 1.0.5 on the local server, which should help clear up any issues. If not make sure all of the paths are correct in the manager configuration settings. It should be present twice (one of which is file manager tab).

                  I hope that helps some.
