Hello,
I have a problem with reaching certain documents which I want to do to use them with ajax.
The thing is, I have two websites on different servers, both with modx. On one site I can go to www.mysite.com/modx/index?id=10 to get the content of the document with id 10. However, on the other website I simply get a blank page when I try this.
I've been looking around the internet and trying to get it to work for several hours already, so I was hoping anyone could have any idea what's going on. It might have something to do with the servers and the software that's installed on them but I'm not really at home with that sort of stuff.
Thank you,
Renne
Is resource ID number 10 created on the second site? if not replace the number for the right resource.
Also verify if your resource has the published checkmark checked.
Hey,
the documents are ineed published and the resource ID's are right for both sites. It's actually 9 on one and 14 on the other. The thing is on the site where I can reach the individual document I can reach all of the document's by simply using the URL like www.mysite.com/modx/index?id= and then using that document's ID. But on the other site I can not reach any of the documents save the very first. That's why I was thinking it might be something server related.
Hmm I'm probably not even talking about the same issue here and it may be very well a server thing as you said, but perhaps it could be some setting in your .htaccess file or something to do with friendly urls. You can check your furl settings in System Settings.
Checked the furl settings but they're the same on both sites, I don't have friendly url's turned on. Didn't check the .htaccess file but I never did anything with it. Both sites are pretty fresh.
This is driving me nuts, I should just be able to reach a document by using the url shouldn't I?

Also, I should note that the server where I can't reach the documents has MySQL on a different port. Don't know if that is important.
If you can get any pages it wont be SQL at fault.
Are you getting 404 errors or just a white page?
White pages usually = php errors. Check your error log.
