    Hello MODx community!

I'm a project manager who just joined MODx after evaluating many CMFs and I'm now down to my final choices of MODx, SilverStripe, appRain, etc. I have a quick question about the feasible functionalities of the MODx platform. Please help me with a response if you're interested smiley

Basically, I'm looking for a content management framework that can serve the following purposes:
    Web Application

    • Not a traditional CMS "website", but definitely a full-featured web application
    • Heavy content driven application with completely dynamic pages
    • Serve content driven data to Flash and HTML5 pages
    Mobile Application

    • Natively developed apps (Android/iOS)
    • Access to same MODx database content through API
    • Use MODx as a content repository

Please help me if you can - I really want to see the light at the end of the tunnel smiley

Should work. MODX gives you full freedom when it is about frontend stuff (web application etc.).
Natively developed apps with remote content should work, too, with JSON or similar techniques.

MODx is a good choice smiley

Using SIMPLX RPC you can easily build a JSON-RPC api to communicate with your target platforms.

Read up on JSON RPC and download the Extra. Its a piece of cake.

Ask more questions whenever you feel stuck. Wish i had more time now to help you more smiley

        Ciao,
        Lars
          Keep it SIMPLX

Hey guys, thanks a lot! The positive response is assuring smiley

I was thinking about the JSON API interface. I read somewhere that making APIs for my needs (XML/JSON) is really easy on MODx. Good to know that I have such flexibility.

Do you guys know if MODx can create custom data forms? The content that we're utilizing is not necessarily direct website page info, but rather phrases pieced together by the applications. Hmmm, I'm trying to figure out what part of the documentation has this info.

          Thanks for the support!
