Manager issues in 2.1.5

Hi all, I'm hoping someone can help me.

I started to build a site two weeks ago on 2.1.3 and everything was running smoothly (recently upgraded to 2.1.5). Last night I started to setup some user accounts (permissions) and have been having problems ever since.

I built out basic permissions just as I have done on my other Revo sites but it just isn't working and the manager is behaving very oddly.

Steps I took to setup access:

1) created a new group "Editor"
2) associated the mgr and web context to that group as a member (99999) with the content editor policy
3) associated user with group.

This is setup exactly the same way that I have a Revo 2.1.1 site setup. When I try to login with the user I get a permission denied error.

As for the oddness in the manager, if I try to remove a user group or context the entry just won't remove itself from the tree. Also sometimes only 1 context will show in the group settings when there are two there. If I change the display # to a different number then they all display. It is just really odd

Also when I tried to uninstall the package "analytics" http://modx.com/extras/package/googleanalyticsdashboard it killed my manager which I am also trying to resolve. Is there any easy way to change the manager theme (which the above package does) back to default?

:: I was able to remove the analytics package and get the manager working again but I am still baffled by the permissions prolbems and not being able to remove contexts ::

Here is an example of the manager weirdness I am seeing with context accesses.

Default view of 20 per page but only shows 2:

I set the display to 30 per page and it shows 5 (lower right shows displaying 1-4 of 5)

Looking at the database there is only 4 items (image attached)

I'm completely baffled by this. Could it be some sort of caching manager issue?

Make sure you don't have cache_db enabled and it sounds like you may have blocked access to some of the data from your admin user.

Thanks opengeek, cache_db was enabled and once i disabled it all of my manager weirdness has disappeared. I have even got access policies working again.

In regards to admin access, I learned my lesson when Revo first came out. I didn't touch the admin account and its access so we should be good there.

FWIW, the cache_db issues are resolved for 2.2.
