    MODX Revolution 2.1.3
    I'm a bit of a noob with MODX and have recently moved servers from my localhost to a live testing server. I modified all of the config files for the live site and have the homepage and admin working just great.

    Yes I've cleared the sites cache by deleting all the folders in the "/cache/" folder

    For the first time I am trying to install an addon on the live site and getting this error. I'm sure it has something to do with a path file somewhere, as "/packages/" folder should be located in "/core/packages/", not in the main "nhi" site directory as the path shows below:

    Attempting to install package with signature: getfeed-1.0.0-rc1
    Package found...now preparing to install.
    Target directory is either not a directory or writable: /home/content/r/i/p/ripcurlksm/html/misc/nhi/packages/
    Could not transfer package getfeed-1.0.0-rc1.transport.zip to /home/content/r/i/p/ripcurlksm/html/misc/nhi/packages/.
    Could not install package with signature: getfeed-1.0.0-rc1

    I am pretty sure I went though all of my config files, here it is. I used the full server path, and the website and admin have been working fine.

    $modx_core_path= '/home/content/r/i/p/ripcurlksm/html/misc/nhi/core/';
    $modx_processors_path= '/home/content/r/i/p/ripcurlksm/html/misc/nhi/core/model/modx/processors/';

    $modx_connectors_path= '/home/content/r/i/p/ripcurlksm/html/misc/nhi/connectors/';
    $modx_connectors_url= '/misc/nhi/connectors/';

    $modx_manager_path= '/home/content/r/i/p/ripcurlksm/html/misc/nhi/manager/';
    $modx_manager_url= '/misc/nhi/manager/';

    $modx_base_path= '/home/content/r/i/p/ripcurlksm/html/misc/nhi/';
    $modx_base_url= '/misc/nhi/';

    $modx_assets_path= '/home/content/r/i/p/ripcurlksm/html/misc/nhi/assets/';
    $modx_assets_url= '/misc/nhi/assets/';

      Hi!

      Have you set the write permission to the folder "packages"?

      Anyway you have also to check these 3 config files:

      /config.core.php
      /connectors/config.core.php
      /manager/config.core.php

      and your workspace table in your db:
      reference http://rtfm.modx.com/display/revolution20/Moving+Your+Site+to+a+New+Server

        Yes "packages" is set to CHMOD 777. However the issue as I said from my original post is that the error message is trying to install it to:
        /home/content/r/i/p/ripcurlksm/html/misc/nhi/packages/

        However it *should* be trying to install it to:
        /home/content/r/i/p/ripcurlksm/html/misc/nhi/core/packages/

        Understand? smiley

        Yes all three of these php files have "/core/" as the directory on these files. Is this correct?

        Also my workspace is correctly set to the server route to my www directory "/home/content/r/i/p/ripcurlksm/html/misc/nhi/"

          ok, 777 is quite writeable... smiley

          as regards your setting, I think that "path" inside workspace table should be set to:

          "/home/content/r/i/p/ripcurlksm/html/misc/nhi/core/"
