    I was in the system settings of v2.1.x and accidentally remove the manager theme.

    Instantly the manager became useless. I went into the database and tried to add the value that was selected but it doesn't seem to help (manager_theme in system settings table.)

    Here is the error I am getting:

    Fatal error: Uncaught exception 'SmartyException' with message 'Unable to load template file 'welcome.tpl'' in /home/elitestr/public_html/core/model/smarty/sysplugins/smarty_internal_template.php:162 Stack trace: #0 /home/elitestr/public_html/core/model/smarty/sysplugins/smarty_internal_template.php(537): Smarty_Internal_Template->isExisting(true) #1 /home/elitestr/public_html/core/model/smarty/Smarty.class.php(335): Smarty_Internal_Template->getRenderedTemplate() #2 /home/elitestr/public_html/core/model/modx/smarty/modsmarty.class.php(143): Smarty->fetch('welcome.tpl') #3 /home/elitestr/public_html/manager/controllers/default/welcome.php(135): modSmarty->fetch('welcome.tpl') #4 /home/elitestr/public_html/core/model/modx/modmanagerresponse.class.php(83): include('/home/elitestr/...') #5 /home/elitestr/public_html/core/model/modx/modmanagerrequest.class.php(182): modManagerResponse->outputContent(Array) #6 /home/elitestr/public_html/core/model/modx/modmanagerrequest.class.php(133): modManagerRequest->prepareResponse() #7 / in /home/elitestr/public_html/core/model/smarty/sysplugins/smarty_internal_template.php on line 162

    and now that I cleared cookies I get :

    Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/home/elitestr/public_html/manager/controllers//security/login.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/elitestr/public_html/core/model/modx/modmanagerrequest.class.php on line 104

    Any ideas on how I can get a usable manager back?

    ::update::

    I ended up restoring the core, manager and connectors directories. After doing so, the manager began working again. [ed. note: betoranaldi last edited this post 14 years, 11 months ago.]
