Moving site to a new host : bunch of issues

Hello there, after following some tuts on moving a modx website to another location, I still get some problems, most of all regarding the database, I guess.

- The main page is accessible but only shows the structure of the site without any content.
- Trying to access to a specific page in the url, the requested ressource is displayed with the css, but without other page content.
- The manager page shows a blank white page
- The setup page says there is a location/permission problem trying to connect to the cache folder

For the test i setted all folder and files permissions to 777. I also cleared the cache

Any idea where this could come from ?

What are the error messages and how is php running?

If the host is running suPHP or suExec (many are), you need 755 for folders and 644 for files.

Hello, I don't really know how to get the errors without having access to the manager.

The manager_log table has nothing new since 2 weeks.
I added
in order to log the errors, but where can I read it ?

Do you have any error_log files, if you attempt to visit the manager what if any errors do you get, as BobRay noted, check your permission in relation to how php is running.

Thanks for your answers ... but as I followed the tutorials to move the site, I also completely deleted the cache folder's content a couple of times. And still didn't found any log files in any others places.
I've to say I'm getting quite confused :S

Who is the hosting provider and what is the address for the site in question?

The previous hosting provider was Online.net, now it's Infomaniak.ch
