NewsPublisher NpEditThisButton always displayed

Hey guy's I installed NewsPublisher last week and got it working alongside ResourceWatcher nicely you can check this post for that.

Anyways, my issue now is the edit button I added the allow_modx_tags permission to the policy template but for some reason it still displays the edit button on the front end when users are not logged in, the message it has is InNoShowList.

Here is my NpEditThisButton call:



Any ideas on how to solve this?

Is the &debug property set to 'Yes' in the default properties or the tag?

Try adding &debug=`0` to the tag.

Bob my call is as shown above without any debugging options turned on, putting &debug=`0` does nothing the button still displays and when clicked does nothing.

Check the tag on the NewsPublisher page and the NewsPublisher default properties for the debug property. That output definitely means the debug property is set somewhere.

Bob there is no trace of the &debug whatsoever in my templates or Newspublisher calls, I will try it on one of my other sites later today with a fresh install and report back.

Did you try putting &debug=`0` in the newspublisher tag?

I just looked at the code again and I can't see any way this would happen unless either debug is set or you explicitly set &buttonCaption=`InNoShowList`.

I just thought of another possibility -- a system setting, user setting, or context setting called 'debug' and set to something other than 0. I guess it's also possible that a plugin might have a $debug variable that's bleeding through, but I doubt it.

One thing that might help diagnose it is to put this line just above the return statement at the bottom of the NpEditThisButton snippet:
