Could there have been something in the last part of the page that mod_security didn't like?
I thought that may have been the case and checked the HTML coding of the content added for just such a thing but couldn't find anything. Though with the amount of HTML and links in the content I could have easily missed something.

The content field is a "mediumtext" field, which holds 2^24 + 3 bytes. That would be something like 16777216 bytes, plus 3 bytes for the length data (I think; math is not my strong point).
Keep in mind that a byte is not necessarily the same as a character; especially in utf8 a single character can take up as much as three bytes per character.
At least, this is the case for Evo; I don't know how Revo stores the content field.
MEDIUMTEXT 16,777,215 bytes ~16MB
You're not really putting that much data in a resource content field are you? It would take forever to load and a lot longer to read (about a year, reading day and night, if it were all text).
