Host questions

Good morning!!

I am looking to move my site to a new host, and have it narrowed down between Dreamhost and GoDaddy.

Anyone have good or bad luck with either of these? Pros vs. cons? Any advice would be greatly appreciated as I am currently with Network Solutions.

THanks!

Have had a site with Dreamhost for a couple of years -

Must say I have been very happy.

They have had more than their share of downtime for various reasons over the past year, which has caused many people problems. I have only personally been affected by the downtime once.

For the questionable reliability I wouldn’t host clients sites with them, but I’m quite happy to keep mine with them for the time being.

I think if I was to choose one of the giganto-hosts it would be Dreamhost, but my personal need for business purposes (i.e. client sites) is a host that is smaller and more responsive.

I’m personally dealing with four sites now, so I finally got myself a virtual private server with Clook. So far I’m quite happy with it, and the support is phenomenal! If I don’t wear them out with my fiddling and snooping!

I have had really good luck with inmotionhosting.com. I have a site hosted there and haven’t experienced any downtime, plus their live chat is always able to resolve any support inquiries I have. I have never tried Hostgator, but I hear they are also pretty decent for really cheap hosting.

using JodoHost.com for past 2 years - amazing set of features for a great price (especially if you get a reseller account).
LiveChat solves everything instantly.
