can getResources output base path with image tv?

I have an image TV ("main_image") with a base path and base url set to "assets/content/images/featured/" This works to restrict selection to the "featured" directory. When I output this on the page using I get a full path like:


But when I use getResources and call the TV within a template chunk like I just get the filename:


This is an issue because I need to pass the image to phpThumbOf which needs the full path. Is there a way to call the image tv with the base path prepended with getResources?

I am working with Revo 2.1.3 and getResources 1.4.0
