Search a different site

Hi,

I have my site setup so I have a homepage (developed in modx cms) and then opencart within a subfolder (/shop). I'd like to include the search from opencart onto my homepage. Can anybody advise me how this can be done?

Many thanks,
LK

I don't know anything about opencart but if you know php you might be able to add the search function from opencart using a snippet. It's more to do with opencart functionality than MODX.

Worst case you could use an iframe...

I've set my form up like this:

<form action="http://www.***.co.uk/shop/index.php?route=product/search" method="get">
<input type="text" name="filter_name" />
</form>

but when I search the path returns

index.php?filter_name=***

instead of

index.php?route=product/search&filter_name=**

any ideas?

Thanks
