Hey
not new to modx but new to wayfinder and needed some help. I'm trying to create a wayfinder menu where the pagetitles are displayed at the top and below is the content of each page. I know I need to use wayfinder but it's not showing up. I have a parent document that has multiple sub children which is what I am trying to display all on the parent document. I understand what the placeholders do however should my original wayfinder call be in a snippet or a chunk.
I also even tried just the basic wayfinder call and no luck.
Should this be in chuck or snippet
[!Wayfinder? &startId=`0` &level=`0`!]
This is my outer:
<ul id="accordion-menu">
[+wf.wrapper+]
</ul>
This is my row:
<li>><a href="#" [+wf.classes+] title="[wf.title]">[+wf.title+]</a>
<div class="accordion-content"/>
[+wf.wrapper+]
</div>
</li>
What else am I missing? Is this the proper way to do it.
Software:
Modx evolution 1.0.5
Wayfinder 2.0.1
MySQL (not sure what version)
Thanks
Riz

Not sure of what your saying but it sounds like your trying to create a navigation with a subnav if thats the case change level to 1 that will display whatever children of resources have as a subnav.
Hope that is what you meant.
Good luck.
hey
not exactly what i was trying to do but i got it. The parent and sub-children did not have the proper template associated with it. Changed that and got the output, now I just need to format it. My original question was "Does the wayfinder call go in a snippet or a chunk?" I put it in a chunk and it's fine.
Thanks for the reply though.

You can do the wayfinder call in a chunk or anywhere on your template, chunks are for html, snippets are php code.
thanks, benmarte, that clarified my question.
You can also put it in the page's content field.
I think you could also put it in any of the page's text fields (e.g., introtext, longtitle, menutitle, etc.) that are displayed on the page, but I can't think of a case where you'd want to do that.
