    Details:
    Modx 1.0.5
    Linux Server, Apache 2.0 Handler, MySQL 5.0.51a, PHP 5.2.6

    I've recently moved servers, and have ran into a (seemingly common) PHx issue.

    Getting:

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ')' in /var/www/web352/web/assets/plugins/phx/phx.parser.class.inc.php(220) : eval()'d code on line 1

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ')' in /var/www/web352/web/assets/plugins/phx/phx.parser.class.inc.php(226) : eval()'d code on line 1

    While logged in to the manager, have tried changing the

    include_once $modx->config['rb_base_dir'] . "plugins/phx/phx.parser.class.inc.php";

    to
    include_once $modx->config['base_path'] . "assets/plugins/phx/phx.parser.class.inc.php";

    which hasn't fixed anything.

    I haven't used 'ifempty' and have attempted to use newer and older PHx versions, aswell as checked and double checked the code in the plugin area.

    Disabling PHx seemingly removes the error from one place (leaving behind the old PHx code, unParsed) and in another place replaces it with

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ')' in /var/www/web352/web/assets/snippets/ditto/classes/phx.parser.class.inc.php(219) : eval()'d code on line 1

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ')' in /var/www/web352/web/assets/snippets/ditto/classes/phx.parser.class.inc.php(225) : eval()'d code on line 1

    (So the error seems to have 'moved' to Ditto)

    If you need any more info, please let me know. [ed. note: mark.skinner last edited this post 14 years, 11 months ago.]

      Hello,

      It sounds like you need to update the resource paths under the config options (under file manager).

      That should resolve the issue.
