Is it possible to create 2 website managed by 2 modx in one domain name?

For example, my server URL is http://1xx.xx.1xx.x/

can I put 2 website inside this URL and both managed by modx?

Sure, just put both (or one) of them in subfolders and you'll be fine.

You could actually run both sites off one MODX install if you prefer it that way...

Thanks Sottwell for this great link. i already read everything inside this tutorial and try to set it up and it just doesn't work yet. so, I would like to ask you one thing:

This tutorial said:"Make sure that you have a wildcard (*) A Record created in your DNS Zone. If you don’t want to fool with wildcards, use your control panel to create the subdomains in your hosting control panel (although you won’t be using the real subdomains)."

before we even start step 1, do we need to set up a subdomain in the server first in order to do the following steps? sorry I am a bit confused about this part and please let me know.
