Upgrade 1.2.2 to 1.3.0 hangs forever

Hi!

I have a modx 2.1.3 site and try to upgrade Gallery from 1.2.2 to 1.3.0. Somehow it starts, but never stops.

And thats the last thing I see. All upgrades before were running fine.

Any hints?

Anything in the error log? Check the permissions and ownership on your core/packages directory -- it needs to be writable by PHP.

Permission and ownership should be ok, because I just use the web frontend, and as I said ever other upgrade before was running fine.

Hi, I have the same issue, when updating from 1.2.1 to 1.4.0.

Someone an idea?

Still the same problem. Gallery 1.4.0, modx-1.2.5-pl

from my experience with gallery so far, best to do a fresh install, rather than upgrade.

I did a "deinstall" back to 1.1.0 and update to 1.4.0-rc1. After that I had to upload all files again, because some routine removed them alltogether...

It's not really a solution...

im still battling Gallery myself.

if it's the best to do fresh installation, can someone explain me, how to retain my albums.
is it sufficient to backup the folder and upload it after a fresh installation?

Still the very same problem with 2.2.6 and Gallery 1.5.2-pl (update from 1.4.0-rc1). I've seen several similar questions but never a real solution.

I wonder what's the real problem behind this...
