Does anyone teach or know of any places in yorkshire that teach MODX classes?

While this doesn't answer your question, actually MODx is pretty easy to learn. There are quite a lot of articles and tutorials online for Evo (and Revo as well, of course), including some video tutorials. I am a bit partial to http://sottwell.com/modx-from-the-inside.html even if it isn't finished, it does cover most of what you'll need to know to work with MODx Evo.
