I’ve tried the demo site for MODx in opensourcecms.com and I notice that in the demo site when I edit or create a document it starts with Document setting with 4 tabs. General, Page Setting, META Keywords and Preview. When I install modx my admin page don’t show that 1st part. Any idea why?
I also included the screenshot of the admin page in the atachment. Please help me..

Looks like something didn’t get uploaded correctly; try this first: clear the site cache, logout and clear your browser cache plus all cookies for the site and try logging in again.
Well I’ve clear the cache for the site and browser and still this problem persist. If it was some of the file i miss upload, can u tell me which file?

No way to be sure; you should try re-uploading the manager folder. Save your manager/includes/config.inc.php file first!
i’ve reupload the manager folder and nothing seems to change. anybody else have a solution for my problem?

stabbing in the dark here but you might try one of the other manager templates in the configuration settings to see if that helps.

tried that too. I’ve even tried using 0.9.6-RC1 and the problem is still there. could it be some sort of setting stopping the code to load properly?

From the looks of the screen capture, the javascript is not working properly. Do you get any javascript errors in your browser?
I’ve tried load the page with IE6 and seems that there are some errors, not sure if its the javascript error. How can i address the issue?
Here is the list of errors with IE6:
----
Line: 282
Char: 47
Error: Expected ’;’
Code: 0
----
Line: 431
Char: 1
Error: ’tpSettings’ is undefined
Code: 0
----
Line: 580
Char: 5
Error: ’document.forms.mutate.elements’ is null or not an object
Code: 0
----
And it all points back to /manager/index.php?a=4
Funny coz Firefox did not show any error
