I have been using MODX for a while now both Revo ans Evo and love it. I have now come across a piece of work that I need to complete and need some help. I am willing to pay to find the right solution so if I have posted this in the wrong forum please let me know.
What I need to achieve in short is the following:
I have to complete a project that revolves around Ale I believe MODX can complete this as it has all that I would need in terms of Blog, user registration, user management and CMS, but my stumbling block is custom code and this time custom tables to manage the Ales and the relationships around Ales.
I basically need a custom snippet or more custom module to manage the following tables and relationships and then display that data on the front end:
Ales
Ale_Locations
Ale_Images
Brewers
Locations (Pubs, bars, restaurants)
I need Users (customer, visitors of the site) to be able to find Ales that they wish to try which are available in different locations in and around London, England using search functionality based around:
Ale
Location
Brewer
So the Module / Snippet would need to handle
listings of Ale's and their related information (Image(s), description, etc).
listings of locations and their related information (Image(s), location, contact info, etc).
listings of Brewers and their related information (Image(s), location, etc).
listings of Ale's within a Brewer
listings of Ale's within a Location
I believe that I have covered the core concept of what I want to achieve, I hope that someone can point me in the right direction or tell me that it is not possible or a waste of time, and can be done in an easier way using other technologies or languages.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
