I am trying to integrate commentics review and comments into modx.
www.commentics.org has the application.
I made a snippet that would integrate this into modx:

$page_id = $modx->documentIdentifier;
$reference = $modx->documentObject['pagetitle'];
$path_to_comments_folder = "comments/";
define ('IN_COMMENTICS', 'true'); //no need to edit this line
require $path_to_comments_folder . "includes/commentics.php"; //no need to edit this line
?>
Somehow the values are not passed on in a way that the external script can use. It seems to be a global issue of some sorts.
I tried the snippet below as well, where I commented the require file out and checked whether the modx output was written, and both documentIdentifier and pagetitle are showing up, so that part works.

Anybody have any ideas how to get this to work?
