First let me say I am new to php & any kind of server side scripting & realise that my question may be too broad to answer in a forum - I have created a basic html/css site website for a local company & they are now after a secure area on the website where staff & admin can login to view an online rota & submit an online timesheet.
I think the logins I can cope with (?) - but my initial query is: I plan to create a user account for myself (superuser). An admin user (admin) & 11 staff users each logging in under their own user & password. Basically I would create an online editable table (so far done using html & java) & give the admin staff permission to edit it via the website. How can I then save this & export it so the staff users can view it, but not edit? Can this be done in modx. Or is there another way I can do it?
The timesheet will be similar – a basic form that staff can fill in & save to a database so the admin could then login & make additions to it. There are no calculations involved – Is see it as just a basic form that can be saved & recalled at later date
Hope this is clear & sorry if its too broad. Unfortunately time is short – otherwise I would try & figure it out myself.
