Hi All,
I'm aware that this problem seems to occur regularly on here, since there seems to be an endless amount of threads related to this issue. However, from the posts I've looked at, there doesn't seem to be a solid resolve each time, many of them tail off without a fix. So, could someone point me in the direction of a finished / resolved post?
I've got a new install of Revo. I have no domain pointing at the site yet. Every page except the homepage is coming up with a 404 (not 500) error. I have the ht.access file that came with the modx install changed to .htaccess in the root of the site.
Hope someone can help!
Adam
To infinity... and beyond!
Did you turn on Friendly URLs in the system settings when you renamed ht.access?
Generally, MODX FURLs don't work well with temporary domains issued by hosts. I'd suggest renaming .htacess back to ht.access and turning off FURLs (then clearing the site cache) until you have a domain pointed at the site.
Also, make sure you have a base href tag in the <head> section of all templates.
Revolution:
<base href="[[++site_url]]" />
Evolution:
<base href="[(site_url)]" />
