    Hello,

I’ve spent some time looking for an answer to this question and haven’t found anything that comes close so here it goes...

I have a simple document tree laid out as such:

    Home
    |
    -Category 1
    |
    -Document 1
    -Document 2
    ...
    -Category 2
    ...

I have Wayfinder working properly so that when you view the category page (which is an index of its child documents using Ditto) the category is highlighted in the navigation menu.

    eg. [!Wayfinder? &startId=`0` &level=`0` &outerTpl=`css_navlist` &hereTpl=`css_navlist_active`!]

What I want to achieve is that when you view documents within a category (Document 1 or 2 in my example) the category navigation remains highlighted. None of the documents within a category have the "show in menu" option checked (I want them hidden to keep the menu just showing the categories). I have attempted passing a number of different parameters to Wayfinder without any luck. I am using the same template for both the category index and the document display.

Could someone point me in the right direction as to what I need to do to accomplish this? I am using Wayfinder 2.0 and MODx version 0.9.5

    Thank you very much.

    Tom

Have you tried the &activeParentRowTpl parameter? According to the documentation...

description: The activeParentRowTpl template is used on the parent, grandparent, etc.. of the current item. The template is applied all the way up the document tree.

... this could work for you.

That was exactly what I needed. Thanks for the help.
