Best Way to edit a snippet?

Hey, I'm totally new to MODX, but I've been working with php for years... I modified GetResources to be able to filter children owned by a parent by a comma delimited list of ints. This is all well and good, but how do I make my code future proof? Should I just save my snippet as a different name... or is there some other cool way to go about doing this?

Your modified snippet should be a new one with its own name. Revo being all object-oriented, you won't need to rewrite much, just override the desired functions in the original.
