Cache Management

Does anyone have any recommendations for dealing with the cache on ModX Revo?

I'm having a few issues with the phpthumbof cache being cleared when a resource is edited and it's slowing my pages down sad

Any ideas?

What version of Revo? I think the recent versions have more granular cache clearing.
