I thought Modx was a buzzing community and have loved working with it in the past, but there never seems to be any action on the forums. It baffles me a little, as I thought it was about contributing (I have tried as much as possible in the old forum) but since the redesign it seems like a ghost town in here...

Why is this place so empty? I have a few thoughts, what are yours?

One thing I've found is that clicking on "Show all unread posts" will often show more posts than "unread posts since last visit" (even when they should be the same).

There are also some operations that seem to set "last visit" to now, so that "unread posts since last visit" is suddenly (incorrectly) empty.

The amount of action here has always been
much slower on weekends, so that may be misleading.

That said, I agree that the activity level seems a little lower -- Twitter may be a factor.

Yes, I understand that a lot of activity is going on via Twitter. I don't twit or tweet or whatever, so I can only go by what I read on a forum post a while ago. I think that Google new thing is getting action as well.

That said, I'm getting more posts than I can keep up with in Unread Posts; sometimes five pages a day during the week.

Prior to the new forum I would visit here every day and view posts. Since the change-over I visit once or twice a week and that's mostly in the hope of news of a new version of Evolution. I simply found the previous forum far more enjoyable and easy to view. The fact that some people weren't been able to log-in without creating a new account, like me, probably doesn't help either.
