    is there a known issue with the cache not clearing when a document is saved or edited &/or the 'clear cache' menu item is clicked?

    I have a site whose cache will not clear properly when either of those options are used, I have to manually go into the core/cache directory and delete the files.

    I have the "clear cache on save" option selected, I've checked the file and folder permissions for the cache directory. Everything looks correct.

    Any ideas?

        Sorry, forgot.

        MODX Revolution 2.1.3-pl (traditional) running on Centos dedicated virtual machine [MediaTemple] Mysql 5.something

        The interesting thing is that the resources that are not updating are all XML resource types;
        - content type = XML
        - content disposition = inline
        - class key = nodDocument
        - cacheable = on
        - clear cache = on
        The resource uses no template & is hidden from menus. I've used the xml declaration in the resource itself:

        <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
        <rss version="2.0">

        and the resource is not actually displayed, but read by another resource:

        [[!getFeed? &url=`http://www.domain.com/[[~48]]` &tpl=`productsXmlTpl` ]]

          getFeed uses the built in RSS library which caches the RSS feeds it reads for a little while.

              I guess I don't understand why getFeed is being used rather than getResources, so not sure exactly what to recommend. Is there a reason you could not do this with getResources?

              There may be other XML reader add-ons that might work and allow you to configure the caching for specific XML resources.
