    Hello,

    I started to get exactly the same problems as described here: http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/topic,2975.75.html

    I’m on : Apache/1.3.27 (Unix) (Red-Hat/Linux) mod_python/2.7.8 Python/1.5.2 mod_ssl/2.8.12 OpenSSL/0.9.6b DAV/1.0.3 PHP/4.3.11 mod_perl/1.26

    Anybody had any luck of nailing down the cause ? It seems like it somehow related to [!snippet!] calls within other snippet calls. I wnet through the 0.9.5 issues topic and tried all suggestions i could find. Nothing works. I’m upgrading my PHP from 4.3.11 to 4.4.x - may be that will help.

    Also all my pages show: This document has not (yet) been cached. in the manager, even after i access them multiple times.
    The configuration is set to Cached default yes. (I tried to delete the site caches but it didnt help)

    the only way i can reset it is by restarting apache.

    Thanks,
    Aleks

      Delete the template switcher plugin to restore caching ability. That plugin is history in the next release.

          Is your cache directory writable with the correct permissions?

            All permissions are fine.
            PHP updated to 4.4 and it seems to be a little better.

            The problem exists only on this combination: Firefox 1.5 - 2.0.3 + Intel Mac ... (safari, opera ie, on mac work fine)
            I did a clean install of FF but nothing helped.

            I’m guessing i’m overloading the browser with snippet calls. Can you please if this snippet makes any sense:

            $id = $modx->documentIdentifier;
            $pid = $modx->getParent($id,1,"id");

            while ($pid['id'] != 0) {
                $id = $pid['id'];
                $pid = $modx->getParent($id,1,"id");
            }

            i use this in a lot of snippets to determine parent id for the category - originally got it for 0.91 any better way to do it in 0.95?

            Thanks,

            Aleks

              Your snippet is pretty much the same as Ultimate Parent, so I don’t see why that would be a problem. Snippets are parsed by the server, so your browser doesn’t even know they exist. If you’re having a specific browser-rendering problem then I suggest you double-check your HTML output instead.

                Ok got it! Thanks.
                Couple more ideas:

                1. Can there be a problem when i have several admins logged in under the same username/pwd?

                2. We are running a development server under: www.domain.com:8383 - did anybody experienced any problems with such a setup ? (different port number )

                Thanks!

                  Multiple admins under the same user could easily cause problems. Like overwriting the same page.

                    can it cause the caching problem and eventually blank pages?

                    i’m just shooting blanks at this point smiley
                    it happens only on mac firefox .. thats it. no extensions.
