    I have a resource with Multiple Rich Text TVs. When I use NewsPublisher in the front end to edit the resource, only the first TV displays TinyMCE and the other TVs are just HTML text areas. I have tried multiple browsers, switched the TVs around, double checked the TV properties... and can't get this to work. Is there a setting in TinyMCE I'm overlooking that limits the number of instances in the front end? Is this an incompatibility with NewsPublisher? I'm running Revo 2.1.3 and TinyMCE 4.3.0-pl.

      I just tried it and it's working for me in Revo 2.0.7 with FF 3.6.12 and TinyMCE 4.3.0.

      Do you have &initrte=`1` in the snippet tag ?

      [update] I tried it in MODX 2.1.3-pl and it's working there as well with FF 3.6.12 and TinyMCE 4.3.0.

        My snippet tag looks like this:
        [[!NewsPublisher? &initrte=`1` &show=`topNav,Team,Footer` &require=`topNav,Footer` ]]

        I looked at the source and each TV has a text area with class "modx-richtext" , TinyMCE just doesn't show up. I tried it in FF 7 and Safari 5.1 and Google Chrome.

        I ended up being able to get around the problem by calling TinyMCE to the page with this:

        tinyMCE.init({
        theme : "advanced",
        mode: "exact",
        elements : "topNav,Footer,Team",
        theme_advanced_toolbar_location : "top",
        theme_advanced_buttons1 : "bold,italic,underline,separator,sub,sup,charmap",
        theme_advanced_buttons2 : "link,unlink,image,separator,"
        +"undo,redo,code",
        theme_advanced_buttons3 : "",
        height:"350px",
        width:"80%"
        });

          You need to put the snippet tag inside code tags so we can see it.

              Is the output type of each TV set to default and the input type set to rich text?

              I've tried everything I can think of (including your exact snippet tag) and I can't get it to not show TinyMCE for all TVs. I don't know what else to suggest. [ed. note: BobRay last edited this post 15 years ago.]

                Yeah, output is default and input is rich text for all. I've uninstalled both tinymce and newspublisher and then reinstalled...twice. Aside from reinstalling modx itself, I don't know what else to do. The workaround works, so for now I'm just using that. If I get time later, I'll try and look into the problem further and see if tinyMCE does other weird things or if it is just in NewsPublisher. I'm using a Mac... I don't see why that should make a difference, but I'll try it on a PC later just to make sure.
                Thanks for you help and your quick response time!

                  Do you have any other JavaScript stuff going on, or any other plugins connected to OnDocFormPrerender that might be affecting things?

                    I can confirm this problem (MODx 2.1.3, clean install, TinyMCE 4.3.0, FF 7.0.1). However, when downgrading to TinyMCE 4.2.2 or 4.2.0, multiple RTE areas are shown again.

                    Could this be a TinyMCE problem?

                      I can confirm this too on MODX 2.1.3 with latest version of tinymce it works with single rte fields but if you have more than 1 it will only work on the first one.
