500 internal server error when login

hi

approximately 1 month ago we had 500 internal error issues and following opengeek's suggestion, we updated all packages than the MODX to vers 2.1.3-pl.
everything worked just fine till yesterday when we wanted to create a new snippet by duplicating an existing one. As soon as we duplicated the snippet, we couldn't login to admin any more and getting 500 Internal error again

any suggestion idea what it might be?

Hello,

You typically get 500 errors with server permission errors (phpsuexec) or htaccess issues. Could you rename .htaccess to test.htaccess and try accessing the site again? If you have friendly URLs enabled they will be broken during this time.

If that corrects the issue post your htaccess file contents.

This to me sounds like a caching issue.
If you leave things alone...it seems to work...but once you add snippets etc it kicks off.
This would typically involve a cache change.

I had a similar instance when the shared hosting account I was running on ran out of disc space and modx could not refresh its cache, resulting in a white screen in manager.

after all, it turned out that the main issue resided in the Lexicon files since we have created long ago manually for the Hungarian version which is not included in the default MODX packages. So, each time we make an update, we have to make sure, all language files complies with the original ones.
