Simple snippet to resize image

I need a snippet that would resize image by given path (asset/images/img01.jpg).
I tried:

• phpThumb, but it doesnt work (or I dont know hot to install it properly) - it always shows broken image (and there also might be a problem with vulnerability)
• Direct resize - too complicated for my purpose...
• MiniPhoto - doesnt work - parse error
• Thumb - doesnt work (some gd2 library needed)

Please help...

How would you intend to use it? During a upload, just on rendering by calling the snippit and passing the image, or other method.

Calling on render (using cache thumbnail), I have one uploaded image and I need it with three different resolution, for example using with ditto and passing width and/or height parameter. Just like in "MiniPhoto"...

Your server will need the GD library for PHP to handle this, can you review your php info output and verify that you have GD compiled for PHP.
