An error occurred while trying to save the resource.

i'm experiencing the same thing in REVO 2.2.0-pl2

No, I have updated to REVO 2.2.0 also, but error still continues.

I'm have this truble too...
MODx's says:
"An error occurred while trying to save the resource."
when I drug and drop resourse in not admin permissions

Try checking your error log. Might be a repair needed to your database. I fixed mine in phpMyAdmin and it worked fine after that.

Tried that, no luck.

i'm also having this issue too but only on one site.
MODx 2.2.0-pl2 and no error is logged after the error message is displayed.

We're having the same issue on 2.2.4. Anyone found a solution yet?
The fix that was proposed here http://tracker.modx.com/issues/4918 does not help.

If i remember correctly this happened in my case with a custom usergroup with matching ACL.
by giving the usergroup basic SAVE rights (or maybe even more SAVE rights) the problem stopped

Not a bug!
Fixed it by reinstalling and creating a database with collation set to 'utf8_general_ci'.
When I was getting the "An error occurred while trying to save the resource" error the database collation was 'binary'.
