I am using Project Seven’s Image Gallery for a site that is currently developing in Modx, the PVII’s script is linked directly to the header in my template, I know the script works fine as I have used it in other CMS system with no issue whatsover (take Etomite for example), but with Modx, the gallery isn’t showing up. It’s there in the source code but I can’t see it, if I remove the script’s link from the template’s header, then the content showing up fine. How do I get the srcript works with Modx? I am not able to write a modx snippet for this gallery script therefor really is looking for a simple solution.

    Thanks!

We did a p7g implementation a while ago - can you provide a link? and have you tested on different browsers? Turned styles on and off, checked for errant visibility: hidden tags. The script also checks the p7g style sheet is in the document, if it’s not - it won’t execute.

It probably won’t work in live edit mode, can you list the scripts used in the document aside from p7gsscripts.js ?

I hit the ’post’ button too quick...Please ignore my post as I found the problem as soon as I realized I forgot to ask this question:

Could the <body onload="P7_HGSinit(1,0,1,1,1,1,0,0)"> be the culprit. I remember reading somewhere using the onload in the body tag may cause external script confliciting with some CMS.

I then realizde I forgot to insert " onload="P7_HGSinit(1,0,1,1,1,1,0,0)" in the body tag.

          Thanks for quick response.

I fogot that I also have Dean Edwards’s IE7 script is used for PNG Alpha for IE 6 - it doesn’t seem to giving me problem as I can see the PNG logo just fine.

No display none or invisibility turn on in style sheet.

          non-modx HTML version

Without PVII’s script and the style sheet that controls the gallery.
          http://lotusseeds.com/index.php?q=ch.html

Have the PVII’s style sheet but without script
          http://lotusseeds.com/index.php?q=chc3.html

Have both script and style sheet, and the images and contents are gone
          http://lotusseeds.com/index.php?q=chc4.html

          Browsers checked:
Mac: latest versions of Firefox, Safari, Camino and Opera
PC: IE 6, IE 7, Firefox and Opera

I’ve never seen the validator do this

          http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Flotusseeds.com%2Findex.php%3Fq%3Dchc4.html

Can we get it so the validator can check the code?

And, I cannot get access to

          http://lotusseeds.com/chc1.html

          I did notice that

          http://lotusseeds.com/index.php?q=chc4.html

Does not have any of the gallery source code, so we need to examine how the template is set up - once we’ve got the validator doing it’s thing.

Hi Sorry for confusion. I deleted all previously posted urls as I found the cause - in my previous post I explained I realized I did’t add the ’onload’ in the body tag.

This is the working page (still need tweaking) for your curiousity smiley :

                Try these settings

                P7_HGSinit(1,1,1,1,1,1,0,1)

They make the thumbnails fly into the frame .. very cool smiley
