getTemplateVars() problem

I can’t seem to get getTemplateVars() to do anything no matter what I try. It doesn’t even seem to want to return an array when I use it with print_r.

Maybe the below topic (from 2005) is still relevant?

You know, I decided to make a test snippet to see if this function did anything weird for me in 0.9.2.2. or 0.9.5, and my code also doesn’t return anything at all (in either version of MODx):

Perhaps this is still an issue?
