    Hi,

I was just wondering if anyone had any tips about creating a text only version of a website? I have created a template but was just wondering is this the best way to do it? Do I need to create an entire duplicate of the website that uses the text-only version template or is there some way around this?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thankyou.

What’s the use-case for this out of curiosity?

You could theoretically come close to this with media-types and different CSS stylesheets.

If you make a semantic XHTML/CSS site that supports web standards, you’re well on your way to attaining accessibility standards, if not already there. Add a few skip to navigation/search/content links and make sure you give all your images proper alt-tags to add to the mix and you’re REALLY almost there (again if not for sure).
