    Have one small problem.
I installed MODx to my testing server, but want to get it working locally now.
I have updated the front/backend with a new core location on my local machine.
I also changed the config in the core to recognise my local machine dir structure.

    Frontend of site working fine
    Backend:
    - Loads the login initially fine.
    - If I successfully log it it hangs loading on a white screen

I have echoed the error down to this line in the index.php file:
    $modx->request->handleRequest();

Thought it might be the connectors but the locations and patchs seem fine.
Login cookie gets created and a new session in the DB.....just won't log in!!!
    Any ideas?? Many thanks

      I get these two errors:
      Error: modConnectorRequestExt is not defined
      Source File: http://mysite/connectors/layout/modx.config.js.php?action=51&wctx=mgr
      Line: 1

      Error: MODx.perm is undefined
      Source File: http://mysite/assets/modext/build/core/modx.layout-min.js?v=213pl
      Line: 1

      Google gives me dead ends....

Sounds like a messed up install or paths that haven't been set properly since.

Does the MODx manager have a dependency to be in a folder called manager?

No, but the manager path has to be set correctly in core/config/config.inc.php. All the paths there have to be correct.

Make sure you delete all your cache files as well (/core/cache/*) and double check all the config.inc.php files in the following directories as well: /conntectors/, /manager/

I've also run into the past where a firewall rule was blocking the external calls for the ModX feeds that are loaded on the Manager home page, which took several minutes to finally time out and display the manager page.

              Cheers

Take a bow my friend, you nailed it.
Our "poxy" server blocks just about everything. I guess I should have twigged this as deep linking was not working.

Once I disabled the feeds in System setting the whole thing started to behave itself.
Thank you very much sir smiley
