Everything seems fine after the move except that the "Components" Tab in the Manager is missing altogether. I can still see that my 3rd party packages are installed under the System/Package Management tab. The /components folder is there with subfolders for all of the add-ins.
Any ideas?

What steps did you take in relocating your site?
Checked the error log?

When you go to Systems > Actions & Menus, can you see the component pages you are expecting in the right hand tree structure? Does Components appear there at all?
Yes, I see Actions Related to my add-ins (Batcher, Redirector, ImportX) and also see Components in the Top Menu Tree Structure with these 3 add-ins listed below it.
When I right click on the components item in that tree structure I can select
"update menu". I noticed that for this menu item there is a permissions field set as "components".
I tried clearing that permissions field, and then the menu item instantly shows up. What does that indicate?

That indicates you don't have the "components" permission.
That's not typically something that is changed on relocating the install though......
Are you using the administrator user group that came packed with MODX? Or did you modify anything in there?
Should be a vanilla admin user group as far as I know. I'm logging in as "admin".
I definitely haven't modified anything related to user permissions since the move either.
Just for grins, I decided to edit the field again on the components tree item and set the permissions back to "components" again. Guess what...it is still working. The menu item is showing fine. Fun Stuff.

Glad you got it solved, though *how* would've been nice to know.. lol.
Perhaps something was stored in a cookie / session that got reset at some point halfway.
