    Hi,

My /manager/ for a new modx install (0.9.5) gets hanged for no apparent reason.
The only way to reset it is to restart Apache server.

I’m using Friendly URLS with alias path and page validates and base path appears to be correct: <base href="http://www.domain.com:8383/" />
Both .htaccess files were activated in the root and in the manager.

I’m using Mac os 10 with Firefox to access the manager and the site.

Any ideas on what makes it hanged will be greatly appreciated

    Thank you !

    Aleks

funny thing, as much as i hate Safari on Mac the manager runs much smoother on it. Still gets hanged after a while but not as often as with Firefox ..didnt know it can be affected by the browser.
(fyi, cleared cache like 100 times already wink )

I started to get exactly the same problems as described here:

        http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/topic,2975.75.html

        I’m on : Apache/1.3.27 (Unix) (Red-Hat/Linux) mod_python/2.7.8 Python/1.5.2 mod_ssl/2.8.12 OpenSSL/0.9.6b DAV/1.0.3 PHP/4.3.11 mod_perl/1.26

Anybody had any luck of nailing down the cause ? It seems like it somehow related to [!snippet!] calls within other snippet calls.

Also all my pages show: This document has not (yet) been cached. even after i access them multiple times.

        Thnkas,

I can’t say for sure, but in my experience I think the more add-ons you have in FireFox (like FireBug, Web Developer, Measuerit on, Inspect Element, X-ray, Clear Cache, FireFTP, and so on the greater chance FF is going to become corrupted and act silly.
          YMMV,

this is a very valid point. i had plenty of add-ons on my FF.
Switched back to safari it seems ok now.

            Thanks,
            Aleks
