    This is a bit of an odd one, using &selfClass in my wayfinder call (version 2.3.3) and it is being applied to all li tags except the "first" one. I do have two calls on the same page but only one or other is ever active at a time.

    This is first call for top navigation using one set of css styling:

    [[!Wayfinder? &startId=`0` &level=`1` &hideSubMenus=`1` &outerTpl=`menuContainer`
         &outerClass=`submenu` &rowTpl=`menuRows` &rowClass=`menuItems` &selfClass=`current`  &hereClass=`active` ]]

    Below is the call for the second navigation utilising different css:

     [[!Wayfinder? &startId=`65` &level=`1` &ignoreHidden=`1` &outerClass=`bannerNav` &hereClass=`active` &selfClass=`live`]]

    this is the source code for when top menu is inactive:

    <ul class="submenu">
    <li class="menuItems first">
    <li class="menuItems">
    <li class="menuItems">
    <li class="menuItems">
    <li class="menuItems">
    <li class="menuItems last">
    </ul>

    and this is what is returned in source for second call which should have first item active:

    <li class="first">
    <a title="What is Chiropractic Care" href="http://www.website.co.uk/chiropractic-care.html">What is Chiropractic Care?</a>
    </li>
    <li>

    If you click on any of the subsequent li's the call clearly works:

    <li class="first">
    <li>
    <li>
    <li class="active live">
    <li>
    <li class="last">

    So my problem is how to get the first item to either have the &selfClass or the &hereClass?

    Any idea?

      Ok came at my problem from a totally different way and discovered that resources that had frozen URI are not tagged with the &selfClass or &hereClass - so that appears to be the issue rather the these parameters not working.

      So this resolved but not necessarily solved! But at least I can get past the navigation hang up for the site I'm building... smiley
